The Knicks probably wouldn't get any of the big stars in the free agency class (Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh) but it was a smart move to attack Amare. Early on it looked like Amare was a lock to sign with the Knicks after he discussed old issues with former Suns coach Mike D'Antoni. Later Amare Stoudemaire signed a five year, 99.7 million dollar deal. Even with Amare the Knicks are looking to bring in another big free agent. Lebron and D-Wade are still on the radar and so is Joe Johnson, even though it looks like he will resign with the Hawks.
Dwayne Wade looked like a Heat for sure just testing the market to slow down other teams taking with guys like Lebron and Bosh. He was a recruiter for Miami. Wade then shook things up saying he will do what is best for his family. His kids are currently in Chicago. He also met with the Bulls. But, slow down, everybody as D-Wade returned to Miami today.
